Nashville SC’s June DJ of the Month Angie K is a rising country music artist who’s proud of her Latino roots.
Born in El Salvador, Angie K moved to Georgia as a child and eventually ended up in Nashville to pursue a career in music. She describes her sounds as “country songs that sometimes come with a Latin twist.”
She says the most rewarding part of being in the music industry is “being able to create community and being a part of something bigger” and that “the ability to connect with people all over the country through something as intimate as music yields to be the best job in the world.”
Growing up in a Latino family, Angie K is a lifelong soccer fan who is “so excited to finally have soccer in a city she lives in.” She lists Lionel Messi and Randall Leal as her favorite international and Nashville SC players, respectively.
Angie K’s new single "Sunsets" is out now, and is a song perfect for the beach, in your backyard, or around a bonfire with your friends.
