NASHVILLE (Jan. 23, 2020) – Nashville SC in conjunction with the Costa Rican Federation announced today Randall Leal’s international call-up for their upcoming friendly against the United States Men’s National Team on Feb. 1 in Los Angeles, Calif.
The Costa Rican and his squad will take on the United States at Dignity Health Sports Park with kick-off slated for 2:55 p.m. CT. The match can be seen on ESPNews, UniMas and TUDN.
At the international level, Leal has become an electric mainstay in the Costa Rican camp. The 22-year-old made his Senior Team debut on Sep. 7, 2018 in an international friendly against South Korea. The dynamic midfielder has recorded 15 caps in his career and helped Costa Rica reach the Quarterfinals of the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup, a tenure that includes a 120-minute performance in the Quarterfinals against Mexico.
Leal is coming off a successful 2019 campaign with Saprissa where the midfielder recorded 17 appearances, scoring four goals and logging five assists across 1,418 minutes played. During the 2019 season, Leal was instrumental in leading Saprissa to a first-place regular season finish with a record of 14-2-6 and a goal differential of +28.
