Nashville Soccer Club, Play Like a Girl and Thistle Farms Partner in 2023 Women’s History Month Activations

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 1, 2023) – Nashville Soccer Club will partner with Play Like a Girl and Thistle Farms to commemorate and celebrate women in the 2023 Women’s History Month activations.

Nashville SC and Play Like A Girl will kick off the monthly celebrations with an exclusive Women’s History Month youth leadership and mentoring event inside of the WeHo Club at GEODIS Park on Saturday, March 4. The event, which is designed to inspire the limitless potential in girls, will kick off at 10 a.m. CT.  

Youth participants will hear from leading women in the sports industry who will share stories about their journey, obstacles they’ve overcome and the tools they applied on their way to success. The panel will answer questions such as how to encourage girls to explore their passions and how to use your platform to keep girls interested, engaged and confident about pursuing their dreams.

Nashville SC and Thistle Farms collaborated in the design of the 2023 Women’s History Month Patch. On sale now at the NSC Team Store or at the www.nashvillescmobileshop.com, the patch will be available for purchase through March 31 with proceeds benefiting Thistle Farms. Additionally, Nashville SC executives and staff visited the Thistle Farms warehouse for a day of service with women survivors. 

On March 11, Nashville SC will celebrate Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day with a special Women’s Night match against CF Montréal. Section 615 will highlight special guests from Play Like A Girl. In addition, Nashville SC will recognize our Hero of the Match, Becca Stevens, Founder and President of Thistle Farms, and engage with female artists to perform the traditional Guitar Riff, the national anthem and all other entertainment taking place in the stadium that day. A list of artists performing that day can be found below:
