Nashville SC has signed Joksan Redona as its eMLS player for the 2021 season.
The Complexity Gaming member has won numerous trophies in his career, including the 2020 FIFAe Club World Cup. Now, he’s bringing his world-class gaming talent to Nashville SC and eMLS.
We spoke with Joksan to get to know him, why he chose Nashville SC and what his goals are for 2021:
Nashville SC: Welcome to Nashville SC! Tell us a little bit about yourself, where you’re from and how you got into FIFA.
Joksan Redona: My name is Joksan Redona, I’m 23 years old and I’m from California. I got into playing FIFA when I used to play soccer when I was around 7 years old.
NSC: How excited are you about joining Nashville SC and eMLS?
JR: I’m very excited to have joined Nashville SC. I see the team gets a lot of support and I’m pumped to represent the colors. I’ve been wanting to play eMLS for a while so now that I got the opportunity to play with Nashville, I’m very excited.
NSC: What led you to choose Nashville SC?
JR: I think what led me to choose Nashville is the support they get from the fans even though it’s still a fairly new team. And the city of Nashville itself is great, so it’s a privilege to be here.
NSC: What is your favorite moment from your career so far?
JR: I think my favorite moment of my career is Winning the Club World Cup in Italy alongside Maxe with our Complexity Gaming team.
NSC: You’ve competed on the world stage for titles, won countless tournaments and are signed to one of the largest eSports companies on the planet. What is it about eMLS that excites you as your next challenge?
JR: I think eMLS has been growing a lot and you can see that the league really cares about its players. It’s something that I’ve been wanting to try for a while. The quality of players has massively increased, so it’s going to be fun competing against everyone.
NSC: What is your play style in FIFA 22?
JR: I think my play style in FIFA 22 is a little more possession-based. I try to make something happen in every attack, but if I need to play defensively I will do that as well.
NSC: Who are some of your favorite players both in FIFA and in real life?
JR: My favorite player in real life is Cristiano Ronaldo. In FIFA I really like using Neymar.
NSC: The 2022 eMLS season is right around the corner. How ready are you to go out and compete with the best in North America?
JR: I think I’m ready to compete amongst the best players in North America. I’m very happy that the tournaments are going to be in person as well, so it will be more fun seeing everyone.
