- Chance to advance – Sam Surridge, Hany Mukhtar and Tyler Boyd scored to give Nashville SC a comfortable lead heading into the second leg at GEODIS Park. Entering Wednesday night with a three-goal lead gives Nashville SC a high chance of progressing to the next round. The away goals rule is in effect, meaning that in the case of an even score line, the team with the most goals scored at the opponent’s home stadium will advance.

- Concacaf Champions Cup at the Castle – For the first time ever, GEODIS Park will play host to a Concacaf Champions Cup match. Since the CCC kicked off in 1962, and the Seattle Sounders are the only Major League Soccer side to have won the competition in its current format (2022). The winner of the CCC will head to the recently expanded FIFA Club World Cup. That tournament will be held in the United States in 2025.
Players To Watch
- Although Jacob Shaffelburg didn’t start last week’s match against Moca, he was the next man up when Hany Mukhtar was subbed off due to an apparent injury. The Canadian winger started the next match against the Red Bulls on Sunday, and he’ll be looking to open his scoring account this season at GEODIS Park.
- According to Fotmob, 25-year-old Colombian Eduardo Montenegro was Moca’s highest rated player last Thursday. The striker subbed out in the 63rd minute, but the Nashville SC backline will need to make sure Montenegro doesn’t get a sniff at goal.
