Eastern Conference foe CF Montréal visits GEODIS Park as the Boys in Gold kick off the first of six matches in the month of May.
Key Storylines
1. Star Wars Night – To celebrate May the 4th, Nashville SC and GEODIS Park are hosting Star Wars Night at the Castle. Fan favorite Star Wars characters will make an appearance at the Opening Fan Zone and Concourse and will be available to meet and take photos with. Fans are encouraged to wear Star Wars costumes (guidelines can be found here).
The first 10,000 fans through the gate at GEODIS Park will receive a LED light-up foam stick.
2. The Force is strong with this one – Hany Mukhtar made his 100th MLS regular season goal contribution with his long-range effort against the San Jose Earthquakes.
3. Tyler Boyd is back with the group – Recent acquisition Tyler Boyd made his return to match action against San Jose last weekend as a second half substitute. As he continues to build fitness, head coach Gary Smith believes he will come back as an important piece of the puzzle.
“My hope is that as time moves on, because the next step is, because of the time out these guys have had, how do we find a world where we can fast track these lads [Boyd and the other recently injured players] into that group to make a difference,” Smith said. “I’m hoping they’ll pick up the pace of the game in a smooth and fluid fashion, and that in itself will have an effect.”
Opposition Player To Watch
Uruguayan forward Matías Cóccaro leads Montréal with three goals this season.
