SANDY, Utah (March 19, 2022) – Nashville Soccer Club’s goal by U.S. international Walker Zimmerman in the 25th minute fell short in Nashville’s pursuit of a result at Rio Tinto Stadium, as the Boys in Gold fell 2-1 to Real Salt Lake.
Club and Country Captain: Zimmerman served as the captain tonight with Dax McCarty not in the Starting XI. Zimmerman scored his seventh goal as a member of Nashville SC (17th overall) in the contest. The U.S. international will now report to the U.S. MNT ahead of the FIFA World Cup™ Concacaf Qualifying matches.
Mukhtar Magic: Hany Mukhtar earned an assist tonight on the Zimmerman goal. Mukhtar added his second assist to the season and 18thin his MLS career. He midfielder finished fourth last season in MLS with 12 assists.
International Break: Nashville SC will be off next week due to the international break where both Zimmerman (United States) and Aníbal Godoy (Panama) will be representing their respective countries.
