Nashville SC adds local brewing partner during MLS Expansion Draft Party at Ole Red® Nashville
NASHVILLE (Nov. 19, 2019) – Nashville Soccer Club selected today Fat Bottom Brewing Co. as the club’s official craft beer partner. The local partnership was announced in front of 800 supporters attending the Major League Soccer Expansion Draft party the club held at Ole Red® Nashville.
As part of the partnership, Fat Bottom Brewing Co. will release two exciting new beers in honor of Nashville SC, Pitch Invasion and Breakaway IPA. Pitch Invasion will be a clean and easy drinking beer with a touch of sweetness up front that finishes with a hint of fruit. Breakaway is a session IPA that is fruit forward with an approachable, new world hop presence. Both beers will come in at 4.5% ABV.

A lifelong native of Nashville, Fat Bottom Brewing Co. Founder Ben Bredesen has always had a passion for brewing beer and investing in people. Seven years ago, he pushed aside his career in software and opened a small brewery in East Nashville that soon became one of the largest breweries in town. With the growth, the company relocated into the Nations neighborhood, where Bredesen has continued to invest in people and equipment to create a quality focused, process driven brewing company woven into Nashville’s social and entertainment fabric.
“As a Nashville native, I am so proud to partner with my hometown’s new Major League Soccer club, Nashville SC,” said Bredesen. “I love the relentless and absolute dedication these Nashville soccer fans have for their club, and I want to make beers that are brewed for them, right here in the heart of our city.”
Joining in this endeavor is Quinn O’Sullivan, former owner of the Dan McGuinness Irish Pub. Quinn moved to Nashville as a beer rep over 20 years ago, and soon after he embraced his roots and opened an Irish pub focused on soccer’s spirited culture. A former college and professional player, Quinn established Dan McGuinness as the center for all soccer events in town.
“I am very excited to bring my Music City Light brand and passion for soccer to Ben and assist him in creating MLS’ best soccer culture here in Nashville,” said O’Sullivan. “Watching the soccer fanbase grow to be what it is today has been a blast. I really look forward to being a part of MLS and soccer’s future in Nashville!”
