Nashville SC to Auction Signed BLM Solidarity Tees to Raise Funds to Benefit 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee

BLM Tee Auction

NASHVILLE – Bid on a piece of Nashville SC history.

In continued support of racial equality and social justice, Nashville Soccer Club is offering a unique opportunity to bid on player-worn adidas Black Lives Matter Solidarity Tees while raising funds for social justice causes.

Nashville SC players will sign their player-worn BLM Solidarity Tees from Wednesday’s historic first Major League Soccer win against FC Dallas and offer them up for auction on NashvilleSC.com. Net proceeds from this auction will be donated to 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee, whose mission is to nurture and enhance the growth, development and opportunities for young black males of Middle Tennessee.

For the remainder of the 2020 season, Nashville SC players will wear these tees during warmups and any sideline activities. The shirts were designed by Philadelphia Union midfielder Warren Creavalle and represent MLS and Nashville SC’s unequivocal commitment to stand in solidarity with the Black community in the fight against systemic racism.

The shirts are a warm and inviting medium designed to frame the contrasting gravity of this moment and beyond. They also address and reject harmful and dismissive narratives constructed for the sake of comfort, entertainment, and social media engagement. They feature the words Black Lives Matter in gold lettering on the front, as well as a statement inspired by a blog post from Portland Timbers forward Jeremy Ebobisse on the back.

For those who do not win the auction, the shirts are also available for purchase at MLSStore.com.
