Concacaf and MLS Veteran Bryan Acosta is the latest new signing for the Boys in Gold and joins BJ Callaghan’s squad from Real España of Honduras.

“Bryan has outstanding experience in both Major League Soccer and CONCACAF, and his combination of playmaking and ball-winning makes him a valuable addition to our midfield,” said Nashville SC General Manager Mike Jacobs.

Things to Know

MLS Veteran – Acosta joins the Boys in Gold with Major League Soccer experience already under his belt. The Honduran midfielder first joined FC Dallas in January of 2019 as a Designated Player from the Spanish second division. He played in Texas for three seasons before moving to the Colorado Rapids in 2022 through the 2021 MLS Re-Entry Draft. Acosta then made the move to the Portland Timbers in August 2023. With 113 MLS appearances to his name, Acosta will know what to expect when he steps on the pitch this season.

International Experience – Acosta has been on the professional scene since 2013 and brings international experience to the table. Captaining Honduras at the 2016 Summer Olympics, Acosta played every match in the tournament – including a bronze medal match loss against Nigeria. Acosta has 69 caps (international appearances) and two goals and one assist for Los Catrachos.
