GEODIS Park brings the flavors of Nashville to the pitch.
We’re highlighting our local concession partners that you can find on any Nashville SC matchday at GEODIS Park. First up, we spoke with Daniel Yarzagaray about his popular empanada spot CHIVANADA. You can also visit the Partner Perks page on the Nashville SC app to get a CHIVANADA discount coupon exclusively for our Season Ticket Members (please note this is not valid at GEODIS Park).
You can visit CHIVANADA outside Sections 130 at GEODIS Park.
Tell us about your restaurant, how long you’ve been operating, and where our fans can find you outside GEODIS Park
CHIVANADA is a Colombian empanada truck founded by myself and my brother Kai back in late 2018. Along with the rest of our family, we wanted to bring the food, art and music of Cartagena to Nashville. Our original food truck is a brightly painted bus reminiscent of the Colombian “Chivas”. You can now find the original bus parked outside the Basement East and our second truck all over Greater Nashville! Be sure to check our website for the most up to date truck schedule.
What does it mean to you to be a part of GEODIS Park?
Being a part of GEODIS Park has been a tremendous opportunity for us to bring our food and story to a much larger audience. Being big fans of Nashville SC ourselves, we’re incredibly grateful for the reception we’ve received from the fans. GEODIS Park was our first foray into a brick-and-mortar location, and it’s been an absolute joy to be a part of the match day experience.
Soccer has one of the most diverse fanbases on the planet. What has that connection been like to the Hispanic Nashville SC fans?
We already had a strong following amongst the Colombian community here in Nashville, and being a part of the match day experience has allowed us to build on that even more. Many of the Hispanic fans remember us from our Latin nights that we hosted with DJ Julian last year, and it’s been really wonderful to stay connected to them through our partnership with Nashville SC.
Your empanadas have become synonymous with NSC matchdays to some fans. What does it mean to you to be so loved by our fans after just one year?
We knew we had something special to bring to the match day experience when Drake Hills [from The Tennessean] wrote his review of the food options at GEODIS Park and said our empanadas were his top pick! There’s really nothing more rewarding than seeing people enjoy food you’ve made for them. That’s why we do this. The love we feel from the fans makes all the hard work worth it. Here’s to another great season!
