An immigrant from Somalia, Mohamed-Shukri Hassan is the founder of the New American Development Center, a non-profit organization that helps immigrants learn entrepreneurial skills. He also serves as Director of the Office of New Americans building bridges between different races, religions, and ethnicities to help develop a better understanding of diversity and foster stronger relationships within the community.
